Characteristic

The Black Forest is rich in tradition and is visited by many people from all over the world. Mountains, dense evergreen forests and beautiful villages characterize the Black Forest.
The roaring deer has always been a popular symbol for the Black Forest.
Other tourist attractions are the culinary specialties from the region. For example, Todtnauberg hosts an annual cake festival to try to bake the best 'Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte': an absolute treat for connoisseurs!

The traditional costume is also characteristic of the region and popular with visitors. Probably the best-known feature of the traditional costume is the 'Bollenhut' with 11 balls made of red wool for (unmarried) women. We have combined these traditions..., in our case for our deer from the Black Forest.
