Tulips bouquet
The versatile flower
The tulip was found centuries ago in the wild in areas around the Mediterranean and further east far beyond the borders of China. The flowers were grown in the fifteenth century for the Turkish nobility and their palaces were full of them.
The tulip became the most beloved flower of the Turkish court, and it was given the name 'tulipan' because it resembled a turban. Dutch seafarers brought the flower bulbs to the Netherlands.
Nowadays it’s an important trademark and export product and with good reason: the flower amazes everybody, because all colours, shapes and sizes are possible. And did you know that tulips also have a colour-symbolism like roses do? These mixed colours in our ‘Tulips bouquet’ symbolize pure beauty.
They are beautiful, aren’t they?
